Introduction

Sober Town Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September on the accessibility of public sector websites and mobile applications, which transposes Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016.

This accessibility statement applies to the Sober Town Council website, excluding embedded content from other domains.

Enforcement Procedure

If a request for accessible information or a complaint has been rejected, if you disagree with the decision made, or if the response does not meet the requirements of Article 12.5, the interested party may initiate a formal complaint (reclamación). A complaint may also be initiated if twenty working days have passed without a response.

Complaints will be received and processed by the Accessibility Unit of Sober Town Council.

Optional Content

Sober Town Council has integrated the inSuit universal web accessibility platform into its website. This service automatically improves accessibility and usability. To activate the inSuit platform, click the “ACCESSIBILITY TOOLS” tab on the left side of the screen.

Users will receive technical support from the website that allow them to browse in a way adapted to their needs and preferences.

 

inSuit Assistive Technologies:

Keyboard Navigation: For blind users. Allows listening to an audio description on the page’s content and navigate via the keyboard using numeric keys.

Low Vision Navigation: For users with low vision. Allows users to magnify the content of the pages, adjust contrast, and facilitates reading for people with dyslexia.

Voice Commands: For users with motor disabilities. Access to all content via simple voice commands.

Sound-based Navigation: For users with motor and speech impairments. Allows navigation via sounds using a scanning system of available options.

Switch Navigation: For users with severe motor disabilities. Allows navigation using any keyboard key as a single switch, through option scanning.

Simple Button Navigation: For elderly users or those with cognitive disabilities. Provides simplified mouse navigation with highlighted visual elements and virtual buttons.

Simple Large-Text Navigation: For elderly users or those with low digital literacy. Allows mouse‑based navigation with enlarged pointer, highlighted links, colour contrast changes, zoom on content and structure, more legible or dyslexia‑friendly fonts, and text‑to‑speech buttons for textual content.

These are some of the assistive tools that enable people with disabilities to access all information published in any format on our website: PDFs, images, videos, audio, tables, etc., as well as allowing forms to be completed accessibly.

The website is optimised for the latest versions of Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Google Chrome. The recommended minimum screen resolution is 1280×1024.
